SCOTT’S ADDITION

What used to be a small, industrial sector running along the railroad is now one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods. Welcome to Scott’s Addition—where old Coca-Cola bottling factories and vacuum warehouses are now sleek apartments, taprooms and barcades. Though this neighborhood is beer-forward (it’s got more than a dozen breweries, cideries and meaderies), it’s also home to film studios, ad agencies, art galleries and more.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Beer.

WHAT’S UNEXPECTED

To-go prints via an ice cream truck at Studio Two Three—a nonprofit arts center and hub of social activism. Stop by its brick and mortar on Clay Street for a tintype photo of yourself looking postbellum chic, or head over to one of the community pop-ups it hosts around town and make something cool for free.
